Summer of Fun Schedule

We are quickly approaching summer.  THANKS BE TO GOD!!!!!  Here are the Summer of Fun  events...let the filling in of calendars begin!

May 31st - Tacos and mischief with Daniel P. and Sarah B.
This will begin at Sarah's home and I have no liberty to give any more details.  Contact Daniel for more information.

June 14th - Wellspring Living 5k
Get your run on for a good cause.  100 girls a night are sold for sex in Metro Atlanta.  Trinity Youth will be gathering as a team to run and raise awareness of stories that need to be told and heard.  Contact Sarah for more information.

June 14th - Pool Party at the Johnsons
No better way to cool off after a good run than swimming.  Youth and their families are invited to gather for good food and good times and we'll kick off our summer in style.  Bring a side dish and a bathing suit, the rest will be provided.  Contact Kathy for more information.

June 28th - City Wide Scavenger Hunt
The youth will divide into teams and race all over the city solving clues, overcoming challenges and gathering photographic evidence of their success.  Victors will be rewarded.  Cost is on the house. We will meet at the church at 9am and be done at 12:30pm. Contact Jesi for more information. Register on Trinity's Website to participate.

July 12th - Shoot the Hooch
This needs little explanation.  We're gonna float down the river on tubes and look for cool places to jump off rocks.  The cost is $25 and be sure to pack sunscreen and a lunch.  We will depart from the church at 11am and return by 2:30pm.  Contact Jesi for more information.  Register on Trinity's Website to participate.

July 26th - Survivor
Out wit, out last, out play.  We will meet at 335 Autumn Wood Lane, Roswell GA, 30075 (otherwise known as the Allers) where we will compete over land and water to be the sole survivor.  We'll begin at 10am and be done by 4pm.  The cost is $10 a participant and lunch will be provided.  Contact Jesi for more information.  Register on Trinity's Website to participate.

August 9th - Screen on the Green
We'll round out the summer by gathering together for a grill out, a movie and a bonfire.  Adventures of the summer will be relived through epic story telling (Wait...you're last name is Johnson?) and we will say goodbye to another great summer as Trinity Youth!  Cost is on the house.  Location is TBD, but I know we'll get started at 7pm and wrap up by 11pm.  Contact Jesi for more information.

Trinity Guys' Friday Night Hangout

Where:  Daniel's House...1304 Niles Ave. Atlanta, GA 30318
When:   Friday, February 28th at 7:30pm
What:    Just a time to play video games, watch movies, eat junk food and hang out
Who:     All middle and high school guys
Why:     Because its fun
Bring:    A couple of bucks for pizza.

Guys Flag Football

Trinity Guys,

The game will take place January 25th, at noon... This time around we will be playing at Maddox Park. Maddox is located near the intersection of Marietta and Donald Lee Hollowell pkwy.

A few things to remember for this time around:
1. Be prepared for the elements, it is winter...
2. Bring cleats or shoes you can run around in.
3. Kip cheats
4. We would love for you to bring friends!

Lasagna Dinner and Talent Show Fundraiser

It's that time of year again!

Youth, get your talent ready and let me (Jesi) know what you're up to!  For the rest of you...

Saturday, January 18 at 6:30pm at the church.

Dinner & entertainment? Where do I sign up?! Trinity Youth will be creating a fine-dining experience where we will attend our community as servers, offer a talent show and entertain. All of the proceeds will go directly to the youth ministry's Winter retreat.

It’s $5 per plate, but tips are appreciated if the service is stellar! Wink, wink...

Make your reservations at the information table in the hallway of the church or email Jesi Allers. Families are welcome. (Volunteers are needed also to prepare lasagna. Sign up in the hallway or via email.)

Youth Family Christmas Potluck

Saturday, December 14 at 8pm at The Johnsons. Open to all youth and their families. Email Youth Pastor, Jesi Allers, to attend (this way I can give you the Johnson's address).

Following the Kids Christmas Pageant, families of our youth will gather at the Johnson’s House in Oakhurst to feast together. Bring your favorite dishes to share with old and new friends. Trinity will bring some Honey Baked Hams and we'll celebrate Christmas while building community.

In addition to feasting, we will also do a White Elephant gift exchange for youth and their siblings who would like to participate.  Just make sure you bring a gift for each kid that wants to participate.  $5 limit of the gifts....this should be interesting!

Trinity's Halloween Party...

WAS EPIC!!!!!!!!  Thank you to all the volunteers who worked so hard to pul it all together and all of the adults who came and danced the night away with us.  Check out the photos page to catch a glimpse of some of the action.

A costume contest: Prizes will be awarded.

A giant maze:  Good Luck...you'll need it.

Food: Yes...'nuf said. 

So, calling all students. Get ready to dance. Don a costume worthy of victory and know a good time will be had by all.
