Changes coming to Trinity Youth

For the past four years Trinity Youth has met during the 11:30am service, I believe the Lord is calling us into a new season.

August 11^th will be our last youth meeting during the 11:30 service.

Beginning August 18^th, from 6pm to 7:30pm Trinity Youth will embark upon a new journey.

First the what.  We’ll begin with some type of games or social component.  Then each week different teenagers will lead us in a reading from the lectionary and we will move into a time of worship together.  After that, I’ll teach from the lectionary on a text not being taught in the main service.  Simply put; we will have fun, worship the Living God and learn together.

Here’s the why.  We’re growing up.  I have loved being in the main service for worship in the past because I have wanted the youth to see how it’s done.  Now its time for our youth to learn what worship looks like for them individually.  I want to create a space where they can bring their friends.  I want Trinity to gain a reputation as a haven where teenagers can come to see that the Lord is good. The result will be a group of teenagers willing to show a city that God is for it.  I believe this begins with creating a time and place each week specifically for them.  Here we go!
